 Born to Jewish parents, Adam got his first taste of standup comedy at 17 when he took the stage at a Boston comedy club. He continued working on his standup routine while getting his bachelors in fine arts degree from NYU. During his freshman year he got the part of smitty on the Cosby Show . Dennis Miller discovered him at a comedy club and recomended him to the producer of saturday night live whichs led to him starting on the show in 1990. Adam has starred in a number of movies including Airheads, Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison. He also writes and produces and has composed songs that have been on the Billboard charts.
