Daljit Dhaliwal presenting the news in New York.Daljit Dhaliwal was born in 1962 in London, UK, and is a British newsreader and television presenter.

Dhaliwal is best known for her newsreading work on ITN's World News bulletins and for presenting ITN's World Focus and Wide Angle. She has also been a presenter for CNN Financial News/CNN International. She was born in England to parents who both emigrated from Punjab, India. After ITN World News collapsed due to poor ratings to the BBC World News with her rival, Mishal Husain, Daljit left London to work in Atlanta, Georgia USA to work at CNN Financial News/CNN International which then went defunct in December 2004. She was invited on The Late Show With David Letterman but was only on for a short five minutes and announced she was engaged. Ironically,she recently returned to her old job as a newsreader on BBC World (Mishal Husain's old job) in December 2005 and co-broadcasts primarily from studios at WNET on West 44th Street in New York City or the BBC World News Washington D.C. studios. Daljit also is doing voiceovers for PBS TV Commercials on WNET TV 13 in New York and WLIW TV 21 Garden City, N.Y. Daljit has also done an interview for California Connected. She lives in New York with her husband, Lee Patrick Sullivan.

She was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" in 1999. In August 1999, Esquire named her one of the magazine's "Women We Love." She has become very popular in America inspite of mediocre ratings. She has been nicknamed, "The Audrey Hepburn of Asian Newsanchors" by fans on the Internet and has achieved a cult following of sorts.
