Biography

Emily Bergl was born on April 25th, 1975 in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, UK, but mainly grew up around the Chicago area. Emily moved in 1981 with her family when her father was offered a job in the states. Her education includes a Phi Beta Kappa BA from Grinnell College in Theater and English, as well as training at the Eugene O’Neill Center’s National Theater Institute. Emily is also a national champion in Poetry Reading (1993; National Forensic League).

Emily's professional career began just a few months after graduating from college when she was cast as an understudy in the Lincoln Center Theater’s production of "Ah, Wilderness!" She has starred in other numerous plays and her first major motion picture was in The Rage: Carrie 2 where she starred as Rachel Lang. While the movie didn't fair too well, many critics agreed Emily's performance was impressive. Emily continues to do theater and other movie roles. Emily isn't a very well known star yet, but her unique look and fantastic acting skills are sure to bring Emily fame in both movies and in theater.
