Best known for her role as valley girl Hilary Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which ran from 1990 to 1996. Her role as Hilary Banks gave her positive exposure to sitcom fans and critics alike who often regarded her as a strikingly beautiful, sharp looking woman with a captivating yet ditsy, naive personality thus making her standout as one of the most popular actresses on television. Despite her good looks and flexibility as a veteran actress, Karyn has been cast in very few televison and movie roles. She was cast to co-star in the sitcom Lush Life in 1996 but it was cancelled after only one episode. Parsons has also appeared in such films as Major Payne and The Ladies Man.
