Karyn ParsonsKaryn Parsons (born August 9, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actress. Her mother is African American and her father is Caucasian. Best known for her role as valley girl Hilary Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which ran from 1990 to 1996. Her role as Hilary Banks gave her positive exposure to sitcom fans and critics alike who often regarded her as a strikingly beautiful, sharp looking woman with a captivating yet ditsy, naive personality thus making her standout as one of the most popular actresses on television. Despite her good looks and flexibility as a veteran actress, Karyn has been cast in very few televison and movie roles.

She was cast to co-star in the sitcom Lush Life in 1996 but it was cancelled after only one episode.

Parsons has also appeared in such films as Major Payne and The Ladies Man.

She also appeared in The Job with Denis Leary.
