Biography
Kirsten Caroline Dunst was born on April 30, 1982
in Point Pleasant, NJ. Klaus, her father, separated from Kirsten's mother
Inez Dunst, a former art-gallery owner. Starting out in showbiz at the
age of three, Kirsten began filming television commercials for a total
of over 70 before making her feature film debut in a segment of Woody
Allen's 1989 film New York Stories . A medical-services executive, Klaus
remained in New Jersey while the rest of his family, including her brother
Christian, relocated to California. Her film career took off with her
breakthrough performance in 1994's Interview with the Vampire alongside
such stars as Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Her acclaimed performance in this
movie earned her several award nominations and pushed more projects here
direction. She continued her streak with Little Women, Jumanji and Small
Soldiers. Expanding her range, Kirsten embraced the role of role as Lux
Lisbon in The Virgin Suicides. Proving her status as a comedic as well
as dramatic actress, she continued with Bring It On while completing her
studies at Notre Dame High School in Los Angeles in June of that year.
Having most recently completing Spiderman with Tobey Maguire, Dunst is
currently working on her own production company with her mother called
"Wooden Spoon Productions.
