Biography

Norwegian-born and Canadian-bred Natassia Malthe too easily strikes you as the town's homecoming queen, the girl who never went through an ugly ducking stage. Her memory lane most probably reeked of peachy childhood memories…I wasn't expecting her to say "very strange" to describe her growing years. "I had an Asian mom and a Norwegian dad," she explains, "That wasn't very common in Norway at that time. Natassia Malthe PicPeople would stare at us a lot and would talk about us. We had to move out of town because people were too curious. So that was hard." Not even her mom and dad could endure the cultural difference between them. Natassia ended up living with each of her estranged parents periodically. This Calcarrie Philippines model is now temporarily based in Los Angeles, her gameplan seems set for fierce Hollywood competition. After a couple of bit parts in a few films ("Disturbing Behavior," "Lake Placid"), a slew of meatier roles have come her way: A romantic comedy, "The Wedding Dress," with Neil Patrick Harris (of Doogie Howser fame), "Trapped," an action/drama TV movie starring Meatloaf, "Stark Raving Mad," and now she gets to play Elektra's arch-nemesis, Typhoid Mary, in the Daredevil spin-off.
