This local blues guitar legend has a record Wake Up Call out on NYC's Blues Planet Records. His biography is that of the archetypal bluesman: he was born on November 16, 1931, the youngest of 13 children, in Greenwood, Miss., and grew up in Hughes, Ark., before moving to Chicago to play the blues. Hubert was married to the late Bea "Mama" Sumlin, Sunnyland Slim's niece.
